Loosechange911

Found out somewhat late about this, apparently it's been out there (in its second edition!) for more than a month now. Anyway, prepare for a 1 h 21 min 43 s long video. Whether it is conspiracy theory materialized or something else (I don't even what to think what something else this can be), we have to see. For now though I must say that I find it extremely well done (certainly better put together than Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, which lost documentary value because of its insistence on unverified facts, I would say).

Monochrome

Somewhat dramatic for my usual taste (sic!), but certainly one of my favourites from this absolute phenomenon called Yann Tiersen. Since today I've listened all day to Tiersen's albums, here are the lyrics for Monochrome (you should listen to the song though, otherwise the effect is not even 10%- and here's the complete videoclip on YouTube- very very well done, btw!). Anyway, get at least C'etait ici (2 discs) and listen to it, you're missing a lot if you don't know this album- disc 2 is close to perfection, with some of the short instrumental pieces such as Le Quartier (videoclip!), La Crise (here you can see Tiersen playing live both Le Quartier and La Crise!!!) or La Valse des Monstres, simply perfect! In case "Yann Tiersen" really does not ring a bell (though it very much should), just think of the soundtrack from Le Fabuleux Destin d' Amélie Poulain, that's probably his most popular album. Two last amazing, longer videoclips for today, meant to induce you to adore as well this guy's music: listen to and watch Tiersen playing live at the eurock in 2001 and respectively at the FIB Heineken in 2004.

Anyway, I can try
Anything it's the same circle
That leads to nowhere and I'm tired now.

Anyway, I've lost my face,
My dignity, my look,
Everything is gone
And I'm tired now.

But don't be scared,
I found a good job and I go to work
Every day on my old bicycle you loved.

I am pilling up some unread books under my bed
And I really think I'll never read again.

No concentration,
Just a white disorder
Everywhere around me,
You know I'm so tired now.

But don't worry
I often go to dinners and parties
With some old friends who care for me,
Take me back home and stay.

Monochrome floors, monochrome walls,
Only absence near me,
Nothing but silence around me.

Monochrome flat, monochrome life,
Only absence near me,
Nothing but silence around me.

Sometimes I search an event
Or something to remind,
But I've really got nothing in mind.

Sometimes I open the windows
And listen people walking in the down streets.
There is a life out there.

But don't be scared,
I found a good job and I go to work
Every day on my old bicycle you loved.

Anyway, I can try
Anything it's the same circle
That leads to nowhere and I'm tired now.

Anyway, I've lost my face,
My dignity, my look,
Everything is gone
And I'm tired now.

But don't worry
I often go to dinners and parties
With some old friends who care for me,
Take me back home and stay.

Monochrome floors, monochrome walls,
Only absence near me,
Nothing but silence around me.

Monochrome flat, monochrome life,
Only absence near me,
Nothing but silence around me

*Meanwhile I also found Monochrome performed live by Dominique Ané and Yann Tiersen.
